This news doesn't deserve to bump Randy's cute Farewell, Labyrinth chara designs from the top, so scroll down and look at those if you haven't already.
The LoveLove Tenshi site's been updated with Heuye and Marcel's chara profiles, including their last names and countries of origin:
Heuye Baltsa from Greece. He's a top high-school swimmer (wasn't he a runner before?), and his grandfather is a shipping tycoon, like Aristotle Onassis.
Marcel Sarhan from Australia. His claim to fame is that his parents are world-renowned agricultural barons. (Is this Gold Diggers: The RPG?)
ETA: Bonus! Upon the unveiling of Oscar's profession last LLT update, I lamented the lack of Ange/Phoenix Wright crossover art. It's not quite for what I was looking, but this is close enough.
In unrelated news, I just finished watching an LP of Deadly Premonition and can't remember when I've been more dissatisfied with an ending to a game. Urgh.

Date: 2011-05-27 04:25 pm (UTC)What's the origin of the name "Heuye" anyway? Only reason I ask is because, based on the English spelling, I'd assume the pronunciation in Japanese would be "Hyuy-EHH" instead of the kana provided that show it's "YUU-ee"
o_O. A mystery to me, unless it has Chinese origins or something where the pronunciation is different.

Somehow I can't really see Marcel as Australian, what with seeing all those Steve Irwin documentaries. x'D I think Leonard would be a better Australian - I can just imagine him delivering Eric Idle's joke from Monty Python's stage show. ...Complete with a cork hat and Steve Irwin outfit.
"Drinking American beer is like making love in a canoe."
"Making love in a canoe?"
"It's f***ing close to water."
...I mean, can you imagine Marcel going "G'day" or "mate"? XD *dies*

And Francis would be more suitable as French instead of British. I mean, British "snobs" are pretty few - and most of them seem a bit... ignorant of other people. I mean, several British tourists mistake us for Russians when we go abroad. Finns and Russians look nothing alike - Russians have big noses and angular faces. We don't.

Date: 2011-05-30 10:38 am (UTC)Followed by the Drunken Philosopher's Song! I wouldn't mind singing with Leonard if he started to sing that song!

Date: 2011-10-01 12:38 pm (UTC)Ernst: That is the 70th time you've sung that! Can't you think of something else!
Leonard: OHHHHH, I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay! I sleep all night and I work all day!
Ernst: *under breath* If only... *aloud* Anything besides Monty Python!!

Date: 2011-06-04 12:49 am (UTC)Also lol, Aussie Marcel makes sense I think, there are a lot of different and neat animals in Australia [yes, he could totally be a croc hunter...maybe X3]. I'm trying to figure out the agricultural thing though [it made me think of Harvest Moon XD], figured he'd be more a tree-hugger kind of guy :B
I don't get the Yui/Heuye name thing either, and I don't know much about Greece other than the mythology and food |D So no witty commentary for him and his country of origin. Though wasn't he originally a fisherman in whateverland he was at before? I need rewatch that [guess what I'll be watching once I lose my internet ;>>]
....hey, is now the time for everyone to backtrack to that old post and see who got which guardian guesses right? :p

Date: 2011-06-04 06:15 pm (UTC)I... I might have figured out where Heuye's name comes from. If it's read as "Yui", it could come from the "Ibi tribe, or Yui, a Timucua tribe in what now is Georgia, United States". Heuye is kind of Native American in clothing and all that, isn't he?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibi_tribe
"The Ibi are also known as the Yui, though this appears to be a manuscript error: the letter u has been substituted for v, which is pronounced as, and often substituted for, b in contemporary Spanish. As such the correct spelling would be Yvi or Ybi, standardized to Ibi, a Timucuan word generally referring to water." ...Dresses like a Native American? Lives in a port town (water)? Is generally a bit more free-spirited than normal?
