"Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom" for PSP announced for North American release! I'm watching the Anime Expo Aksys panel liveblogged now, check it out here:
Event is over but you can still check out the news here:
http://www.siliconera.com/2011/07/02/aksys-anime-expo-liveblog-starts-now/
And chat about it here:

Can't say I want to play this game, [I don't need ANGST in my otome games :/] but maybe I'll go for it anyways. There will be both a normal and special edition to go for, and it will be available on PSN too. I think it was mentioned that it was tied to an anime too, has that been officially released in the west? I'm so behind on popular anime XD
Also announced was "Fate/Extra", don't know much about the series, but I think it's popular ^^;

I was a little disappointed when the liveblog mentioned "Second game is set in the feudal era of Japan and has ridiculously hot men?!", while I'm listening to Harukanaru music, and hoping for Hiiro no Kakera |D Oh well, maybe something good will come out of this if these sell well.

*edit*
more info on Hakuoki here - http://www.siliconera.com/2011/07/02/hakuoki-demon-of-the-fleeting-blossom-will-be-north-americas-first-otome-game/

more info on fate/extra here - http://www.siliconera.com/2011/07/02/fateextra-destined-for-release-in-north-america-this-year/

*edit edit* could there be even more otome in the works?! JList/JAST USA will also be having a panel at Anime Expo later tonight: "We’ll have complete information on our new license acquisitions at our panel at Anime Expo this weekend, Saturday July 2nd at 11:00pm, room LP3 of the Los Angeles Convention Center, including a project in the works that we think female fans will be particularly excited about." What could it be? There was mention of Starry Sky by one of the staff on SiliconEra... And there are a lot of other 18+ otome games out there too, so who knows? XD

*edit edit edit* Starry Sky officially confirmed from JAST USA! [no, it's not an 18+ game, or yaoi *smacks the liveblogger* XD] From the AX liveblog here: http://inside.anime-expo.org/games/2011-07/ax11-jast-usa/

A new Haruka live event has been announced. It will take place January 8th and March 12-13th next year. Cast announced so far include:

Miki Shinichiro (Yorihisa, Yoritada, Masaomi, Hiiragi)
Takahashi Naozumi (Inori, Isato, Hinoe, Tooya)
Inoue Kazuhiko (Tomomasa, Hisui, Kagetoki, Kazahaya)
Nakahara Shigeru (Takamichi, Yukitaka, Yuzuru, Oshihito)
Toriumi Kōsuke (Yasuhira, Michiomi)
Matsuda Yuuki (Koremori)
Hanawa Eiji (Tsunemasa)
Kondou Takeshi (Southern Deity from the dream game, Nasu no Yoichi)
Horie Kazuma (Northern Deity)
All of the Haruka 5 hachiyo

I probably won't be able to go myself but maybe some of the more crazy and rich fans among you will =D

On a semi-related note, who's going to the Starlight Xmas 2010 event? Apparently a new Angelique game/property will be exclusively announced there. Mayhap they will finally announce Sengoku Angelique the game lol.

Edit: Something else I kind of felt like I should mention but didn't want to make a new post for it. Since last month, Koei has been running a weekly Neo Romance & Musou radio show. Hosts are Masaya Onosaka (Zhao Yun, Zhuge Liang and J.D.) and Eiji Takemoto (Mitsunari, Katsuie and Fukachi Ōchi). Their most recent guest was Ryōtarō Okiayu (Motochika, Orochi, Sima Shi, Akuram, Hakuryuu, Kokuryuu and Nasatya). You can listen to and download recent and previous shows here.

For those who don't know, Musou is the Japanese name for the English equivalent of the Warriors series we have out here (Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Warriors Orochi and so on).

Hey there, minna-san!

I was just on the official Neoromance website to try to see if I could find information on the new game Love Summit, but managed to stumble across something else interesting...

Looks like you can only get these at an event, which kind of sucks because I want one! They're too cute!

Hey there, minna-san!

I was wondering if anybody has seen the festa Ange Party. It has the majority of the casts of Angelique and Neo Angelique in attendance. I'm hoping to see it, but before I do, I'd like to know what I can about it.

I'm especially curious about any and all performances and/or talks that include Tobita Nobuo and Ono Daisuke.

If anybody could please give me even basic info, like if they performed certain songs or anything like that, please do.

Thank you.

Here's a list of recently announced/upcoming NeoRomance events that will take place in Japan in the coming months:

Haruka 10 Year Festival: (website)
Dates: January 16, 17 + February 6, 7

NeoRomance Live Rocket Punch 4: (website)
Dates: February 13, 14

NeoRomance Festa 11: (website)
Dates: March 13, 14

La Corda d'Oro Stella Musical: (website)
Dates: March 19~24

Yup, there's gonna be a Corda musical. Hopefully will be better than the awkward (but cute) Haruka stage event..! You can see the cast page on the musical's website. Seems lots of prettyboy series are riding the wave of success of the Prince of Tennis musicals by making their own musicals... though they're amusing so I can't complain~

(I wish there would be an Angelique musical... I'd pay anything to see Clavis suddenly burst into song and attempt to dance in his robes while Julious and Lumiale shimmy in the background)
