Jun Planning is going to release a bunch of Neo Angelique dolls:
Pullip Angelique, Tae Yang Rayne and Dal Erenfried

no pic for Erenfried - he sure is adoreable, but still a bit ugleh. =\
They'll be out in May for 13000 yen each. Pics and preorders at hlj.com, 1999.co.jp, etc.

I'm soooo getting Rayne... and I hope they'll make other guys too.

Well it's not much compared to some pricey ball-jointed dolls like Volks, but yeah, my wallet will totally feel the pain. T__T But I just can't resist the cuteness. ^^

13000 yen... That's about $145 USD without shipping. That's nothing for a BJD / Ball-Jointed Doll.

Well, maybe a Fairyland Puki (http://www.dollfairyland.com/shop/step_submain.php?b_code=B20071101105202) (which is 10cm tall).

I paid well over $1,200 USD for Mithlas, who's a Volks Super Dollfie 13 Boy (about 60cm tall; he's in my icon) that I got through a service with the Full Choice System at Tenchi no Sato. It was well worth the wait and the money. =>w<=

Someday I hope to get a Senior Delf Abadon (http://eluts.com/frontstore/Item/item_zoom.asp?item_num=3140&catalog_num=157&mart_id=lutsdoll&level=&mother_catalog_num=1012), and modify the lips, so that I can make him my Hyuga bjd. =*w*=

the only problem I should warn of is that Jun Planning's joints break easily, but you can always change j-doll\pullip-taeyang bodies with simple obitsu.

I didn't know that, but it's good to know. I'm not too into the Pullips, but I've been thinking about getting a 1/6 scale Obitsu.

The BJD/Doll-dom and the craft-dom both have a mutual alliance with each other, considering that heads without face-ups are just blank and eyebrow-less, dolls don't clothe or make clothes, jewelry or other accessories for themselves, and you always have dolls that end up on the modding blocks at one time or another. =ow~=

I'm not into Pullips either, but I have 2 j-dolls and their joints feel really fragile. My friend actually broke her j-doll and had to change bodies. And obitsu turned out to be much better than original one. X)

Oh yeah, modding is another fun thing you can do besides collecting. *__* I'm more into painting garage-kits for now, but I'd love to try and work on a doll one day. ^^

Tell me about it; quite a few of the BJDs on my o-so-long wish list that I intend to make modding projects out of. I've a lot that I want to give tans to as well as elf ears (I've got a thing for Elves and Vampires), scars and tats. =*w*=

Realistically, I'll probably only going to end up with a few more BJDs in the near future, AFTER I get a steady income. =^___^'=

Someday I'll get around to a garage-kit or two... Even though I've been an otaku for over 10 years now, i haven't quite hit all the bases in the grand otaku-dom. XD

Well I don't really know what to tell, actually... I'm not a pro or something and there are plenty of forums on making, modding and collecting dolls (and kits) that surely will be of much more help. ^^" But considering tan, ears and everything - putty, aerograph and clear spray can make wonders. 8)

I've been thinking about getting a custom BJD, but I'm sooo picky. =__=
I'd like to find something small enough, like, 40 tall. And NOT looking like a kid\teenager. Uhhh... I did some research... unfortunately, the most mature and adult-ish 40cm would only be Orientdoll. And I don't know if you're after a girl and/or a boy. =^_^'=

Though let me list the most adult / realistic to the most anime-ish of 40cm bjds for you by company and model:
Iplehouse's JID (girls only so far), Souldoll's Soul-Kids (I think it's all girls), Fairyland(by Luts/Cerberus Proj.)'s Minifee (both boys and girls), Dollzone's 1/4 dolls (both boys and girls), Dream of Doll's DoC (both boys and girls), and Dollmore's Kid Dollmore line (both boys and girls).

I hope that helps out at least a little. =^_^'=

13000. I don't even dare think about what that is in £ at the moment :S

But they are totally beautiful, so even if I can't justify spending that much on one doll, I can definitely drool at the pictures.

Especially Rayne, who is probably my favourite from NeoAnge anyway.

I do still have my gypsy pullip that I got aeons ago who'd really like to spend a little time with Rayne-kun, though...LOL
