At least I haven't heard of any alternative venues for the community... I've just been following this place and hanging around, commenting and making posts if I feel like I can contribute something. XD
It's just most of the posters seem to have disappeared over the years, especially the fanfic writers - they're probably busy with other things, but it makes the place feel a little empty.
