So, I went on a lovely adventure to Anime North this past weekend. Surprisingly, I found some Angelique stuff o.O; Naturally I bought most everything I found XD I took pics of course. Maybe someone knows what these are from?



Here's everything I got, all being sold by one dealer in the bargain bin section XD [although their prices simply went from outrageous to more reasonable; they wanted $60 originally for that artbook o.O;;] The Haruka keychain was too cute so I picked it up too, chibi Takemichi and Tomomasa~ there was a pin or something of Inori there too but I don't really like him all that much ^^; The Angelique cards are actually made of plastic, and part of them [around the central image] is translucent. It's kinda lame that they put the boring instructors along with Luva [ugh, anyone want Sei-Lan? XD] Too bad they didn't have the Marcel/Zephel/Olivie/Oscar one there [by deductive logic they're the only ones left that I didn't find. Boo D:] The cards are placed on a card as well, but all that's inside is the Divine Bird emblem and "Beinvenue au Sanctuaire" [yay Flench X3]
I forgot my nametag was in the corner there, I don't need any stalkers kthx












Here's some pages from inside the artbook; I think there are two parts to the artbooks for Trios for some reason, since this one has the ending pics [I didn't post any incase of spoilers :p] and character profiles and stuff, I wonder what the other one has? o.O; I like how the profiles show a little picture of [one of] their favourite items; in the game, they'll say thank you with voice when you give it to them. I gave something to Timka with a dolphin [yay kana reading XD] and he liked it enough to say thanks for it... But when were there dolphins in Timka-land, really? o.O; I'm still baffled as to why Mel hates bananas o.O;

I also found the first season of "The Story of Saiunkoku" [okay its not really otome but I think the original manga was by the same mangaka who did the Angelique one? ^^;] and got 8 Haruka mangas :3 [Loot pic HERE, lol]

So yea, anyone know what those Angelique cards might be from? Probably promos/you-can-never-find-this-again merch but yea XD

And as an update, I'm actually still scanning the Angelique Special 2 4-koma book that I mentioned in my last post; my scanner has some wonky power cord issues and I'm really lazy so I only have pages 18-61 and the covers done so far [the first few pages are colour, I'm doing those last; monocolour pages are faster to scan ^^;] Hopefully I'll get this done sometime ^^; here's a little preview:

I'm still floored that they ended up naming an Angelique locale "the Endless Hell of Nadraga" (or whatever the proper name is). (That drama CD they mention in your fourth Trois book scan, the one featuring the Nadraga that leads to Ra-Ga, is kind of weird; I should do a small post on it, even though it's not a pleasant listen.)

IIRC, I think the other volume includes transcriptions of some of the text events and creator interviews. I might be wrong, though.

I believe the Ange cards were indeed part of a Trois prerelease promo. I remember an article from a somewhat-mainstream gaming site on Trois before its release, written by a guy who had little but these cards on which to go; he ended up (rather happily and genially) rating the guys by their images on the cards. (Luva was a good prospect because he had a neat hat; Timka was not because his hat sucked.) Olivie fooled him, BTW; he referred to him as "Olive" and though he was an advisor/big sister to Collet. (I wish I had a link; it was pretty funny, both intentionally and not.)

Lol, thanks for all the info! [need to work on my pathetic jp skills ^^;] That does sound like a pretty grim location, I guess most of the game plotholes are explained in the dramas? O.o There's actually another page with Tian [the queen in the future], I'll get a pic of it after work, she looks better in normal lighting XD also, is that kanji at the end of the book title the one for "bottom"? O.o wow, what a way to distinguish the 2 artbooks if it is XD I want to get the other one now too, I wonder if I can find it without paying an obscene amount of money ^^;
and dang, how will I get a complete card collection now? At least I found two sets with Mel X3

It doesn't really explain much; actually, the feel of the drama is just kind of weird all around. (I think it might have been the very first one they did, actually; Clavis isn't even voiced by Shiozawa.) Zephel has negative feelings about becoming a guardian, and they eventually summon a portal that traps both he and Marcel in the Endless Hell world (created by a demented Queen candidate), which has monsters and stuff. They're saved by the incorporal soul of Limoges, floating around in the time before she was born. Yeah.

Oh, that is a common was of differentiating between "Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2" in two-volume sets, but, heh, that idea'd never clicked in my head itself.

I missed this on my initial read, but that $60 initial price was ridiculous. You should be able to get the other half for something more normal.

And now the relevance of the character group on the cover makes so much more sense now XD [but Olivie? Somehow I dunno about that, rofl] thanks for the tip ^^; [dang kanji and their multiple meanings, lol]
Also wow, that sounds like a universe I'd make, you know, for the lols XD Maybe she was mad that she got picked as queen before she could run off with a guardian and decided to rage on the cosmos about it XD
And since the artbook was in the bargain bin too I got it for $22, which isn't too bad since it's like new and the jp cover price was 1,600Y ^^; I need to camp out on ebay or something now XD

Oh please, Sei-Lan makes me rage, he was such a prick in the etoile anime [yes I know, not the best resource for ange content] that it's left a lasting impression on me XD [let me tell you, if he pulled a stunt like that with me *he'd* be the one going off that bridge XD]
That and having a nightmare about him too, ugh ;>> traumatic experiences all around, I try to avoid him if I can in the games too :p [I'm sure that's more than you ever cared to know, but I just wanted to justify my reason, lol]
And yea, the colour profile pages show their normal outfits in art and the 3D model, and their "casual" outfit too; Marcel's is adorable, lol, but Oscar's looks rediculous to me for some reason XD

I would love to see the page with TianShi. I've always been dying to know more about her since they didn't really talk about her in the game.

Whoa, dude, that's epic! And now, of course, I'm even more confused; teleporting continents, really? So when does Arcadia break off of that cosmos and become the NeoAnge world? XD just kidding, that's cool though, thanks for the translation! :3
